FanDuel Price: $10,500
This isn't Dallas Keuchel's first inclusion on this list, and it may not be his last. He's typically a better real-life pitcher than DFS pitcher, but you may be wondering why he still doesn't deserve consideration with pitching so wide open on this slate.
Keuchel certainly has the batted-ball numbers to stifle the New York Yankees, with a 63.0% ground-ball rate and 20.9% hard-hit rate. However, the Yankees are no walk in the park, with a 119 wRC+ against southpaws.
Keuchel isn't the only good pitcher in a tough spot, but his middle-of-the-road 21.1% strikeout rate simply doesn't match up with the other options. For instance, Michael Pineda isn't in a cupcake matchup against Keuchel's Houston Astros either, but he has far more upside with a 31.2% strikeout rate and is $1,900 cheaper.
Without a plus matchup or elite strikeout rate, it's hard to rationalize paying for Keuchel as the most expensive pitcher on the slate.
