4 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 4/25/17
Justin Bour finds himself in a sneaky-good matchup against Vince Velasquez. Who else may fly under the radar?

Michael Wacha, SP, St. Louis Cardinals

FanDuel Price: $7,700

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Tonight's monster 14-game slate has a pile of high-priced aces for DFS players to choose from, including Clayton Kershaw, Dallas Keuchel, Felix Hernandez, and Danny Duffy, who are all at least $9,000.

One overlooked starter that should garner your attention is St. Louis Cardinals starter Michael Wacha. Even in a potentially great spot, his lackluster 2016 is still in the back of peoples' minds, which resulted in a 4.31 SIERA over 138 innings pitched.

Why You Should Use Him:

While Wacha's 2.41 ERA is a bit lower than his 3.70 SIERA, he's made some positive strides through his first 18.2 innings pitched. His strikeout rate is currently 23.3%, which would be the highest of his MLB career if it held through to September. He's also done a great job of limiting hard contact (21.6% hard-hit rate).

And let's not forget about Wacha's opponent, the Toronto Blue Jays. They third-worst in wOBA on the young season (.283) and are striking out 24.3% of the time. All of this leads to a potentially explosive outing for Wacha at a pretty cheap salary, which will allow you to pay up for some offense when everyone else is trying to patch together lineups with a high-priced ace.
