Logan Forsythe is a guy we wrote up on Monday, and with his price tag remaining the same while he draws an even better matchup, we should be happy to go back to the well today.

Forsythe had a very strong batted-ball profile against southpaws through 124 plate appearances in 2016, posting a big 39.3% hard-hit rate with only a 7.9% soft-hit rate. That solid contact translated to a decent .330 wOBA with a .191 isolated slugging (ISO).

He'll be taking on San Diego Padres' lefty Clayton Richard, who got worked over to the tune of a 4.82 xFIP with only an 11.5% strikeout rate and an 11.0% walk rate. Overall, Richard allowed a .345 wOBA to right-handed hitters in 2016, making this matchup a great one for Forsythe.
