7 Underpriced Players on FanDuel's Opening Daily Fantasy Baseball Slate
If you want to pay for studs on opening day, you need to find some values. Which players are underpriced for FanDuel's opening slate of daily fantasy baseball?

Stephen Strasburg, $9,700

Effectiveness has never been an issue for Stephen Strasburg. It has always come down to health. In daily formats, that's much less of a concern, and it helps Strasburg check in as a value for the first slate.

Despite dealing with a few dings last season, Strasburg finished with a delectable 3.18 skill-interactive ERA to go with his 30.6% strikeout rate and 7.4% walk rate. He did all of this while simultaneously holding opposing batters to a 26.6% hard-hit rate, the sixth-best mark of any starter in baseball with at least 140 innings.

It's the strikeouts that make Strasburg the object of our affection on a site that allots three points per check in that box. He ranked fourth among starters in this category, helping him to dust double-digit batters in 8 of 24 starts in 2016. They're the gateway to high-upside games, and Strasburg is more than able to tap into that potential.

If you're not convinced yet, just peep where Strasburg was priced last year. He opened the season at $11,300, and prior to his August injury, he was never cheaper than $10,700. It'll be hard to pass up Clayton Kershaw on the same slate, but Strasburg does provide a respectable alternative.
