Fantasy Baseball: 10 Players With Huge Gaps in Value Between ESPN and Yahoo
Some players have wildly different average draft positions on one site than they have on another. Can this be a signal that a player is a value or too costly?

A.J. Pollock, Arizona Diamondbacks

Yahoo ADP: 39.6 | ESPN ADP: 66.1

A.J. Pollock is a top-40 pick on Yahoo. But if you want him on ESPN, you can wait all the way until the middle of the fifth round in 12-team drafts. Hello, beautiful.

Some hesitancy in investing in Pollock makes complete sense. He was limited to just 12 games last year thanks to elbow and groin injuries, and the groin injury popped back up again this spring. Still, his combination of speed and power is something that doesn't come around often.

Pollock finished 2015 with 20 home runs and 39 stolen bases while striking out just 13.2% of the time, allowing him to post a .315 batting average. Last year, the only players with 20 dingers and 30 steals were Mike Trout, Jose Altuve, Paul Goldschmidt, and Jean Segura, three of whom are first-round picks this year.

Before his groin injury this spring, Pollock had five walks to two strikeouts in 22 plate appearances, an indicator that he's seeing the ball just like he was in 2015. The groin would become a big concern if it discourages him from running, but that's risk that's already baked into his ADP on ESPN. Although his Yahoo ADP may overlook these risks a bit too much, he's an obvious buy when you're drafting on ESPN.
