4 Under-the-Radar FanDuel MLB Plays for 9/2/16
The Major League leader in home runs will probably be ignored on Friday. Who else might be floating under the radar?

Anthony DeSclafani, P, Cincinnati Reds

FanDuel Price: $8,400

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

There are four solid arms on the slate who should receive the majority of attention: Carlos Carrasco, who Vegas really likes (-200 moneyline), Noah Syndergaard, Danny Duffy, and David Price. This should lead to low ownership for Anthony DeSclafani, who is a slight underdog (+130).

Why You Should Use Him:

DeSclafani has been excellent since returning from injuries, sporting a 3.49 xFIP and 24.0% strikeout rate after the All-Star break.

Even while pitching in Great American Ballpark, the eighth-friendliest for home runs in 2016, DeSclafani has fared well in part by dropping his fly ball rate at home by 11.3 percentage points.

And while the St. Louis Cardinals boast an excellent offense, they've gone from elite (5th in wOBA pre-All Star break) to average (12th in wOBA post-All Star break). They've also struck out 23.3% of the time after the All-Star break, fourth-worst in the league.

While the Cardinals are strong against righties for the season (fourth in wOBA), DeSclafani makes for a great tournament play due to low ownership and high upside potential.
