XFL Daily Fantasy Football Helper, Week 6
De'Veon Smith has been really strong through the halfway point of the XFL season, and he's a good option again here in Week 6. Who else should you play?

If you're missing the NFL and want to get some daily fantasy football action during the offseason, then you should check out the XFL. No, seriously. FanDuel is offering contests each weekend during the XFL season, and all you have to do is fill out a lineup of six players while staying under the $100 salary cap.

Maybe you're not totally in tune with the XFL, so you're not sure who to play this week. Don't worry -- I've got you.

Saturday Slate

PJ Walker, QB, Houston Roughnecks ($23) - Walker is chalky, but Walker is also productive. He's scored at least 21 FanDuel points in every game played this year, he's thrown 4 more touchdowns than any other passer in the league, and he's given you a little juice with his legs, too, with roughly 20 rushing yards per game. I know, I know -- he's expensive. But there's plenty of value elsewhere that'll allow you to play the league's mid-season MVP.

De'Veon Smith, RB, Tampa Bay Vipers ($17) - Smith enters Week 6 with the second-highest running back rush share in the XFL to go along with a near 8% target share, which is also one of the higher marks in the league. In other words, the dude is seeing volume. He's given fantasy gamers a nice floor of at least 58 total yards per game this season, and even though the Vipers are slight underdogs against St. Louis on Saturday, they've still got a reasonable team total that's hovering 20 according to OddsFire. He's a safe option for one of the more run-heavy teams in the XFL.

Darius Victor, RB, New York Guardians ($14) - Victor is sort of a De'Veon Smith-lite. He's got pretty similar market share numbers (and that's despite missing almost an entire game due to injury), but his offense hasn't put him in the best situations, so he's yet to find the end zone. That continues to be the reason he's priced under $15. There's some reason for pessimism with Victor this week given the Guardians are 6.5-point underdogs to Houston -- you'd rather your running back be placed in a positive game script -- but the game has the highest over/under of the week, giving New York an implied total north of 20. Basically, if you need a high-floor, cheaper option at the position, Victor makes some sense. He'll help you to get in those Houston stacks.

Sam Mobley, WR, Houston Roughnecks ($14) - Speaking of Houston, Sam Mobley is a really intriguing option this week if teammate Sammie Coates is sidelined once again. Without Coates last week, Mobley ran 40 routes, the same number as top wideouts Cam Phillips and Nick Holley. He ended up performing well, catching 6 of his 9 (nice) targets for 95 yards. That performance may give him more looks even if Coates is active, so at $14, he's another way to save some cash.

Colby Pearson, WR, New York Guardians ($16) - Pearson's a dollar cheaper than wide receiver teammate Mekale McKay despite outproducing him in the yards column in each of the last two weeks. And, according to Pro Football Focus, Pearson's run more routes during this time. If and when New York's in a negative script this weekend, they'll have to be aggressive. With Luis Perez now under center, we should have a little more confidence with the team's pass-catchers to put up numbers in that type of game environment.

L'Damian Washington, WR, St. Louis Battlehawks ($16) - Washington's been a strong value on FanDuel for most of the season, and that's no different here in Week 6. He leads the Battlehawks in routes run per drop back by a wide margin, and his 22.2% target share is one of the better ones you'll find across the XFL. After a 114-yard performance last week, it's a little surprising to see him listed at just $16.

Other Players to Consider: Cam Phillips ($21), Nick Holley ($18), Matt Jones ($16), Alonzo Russell ($14)

Sunday Slate

BJ Daniels, QB, Seattle Dragons ($17) - The best quarterback play on the Sunday slate is Josh Johnson, so if you can fit him in your lineup, go for it. If you're looking to save some cap, Daniels isn't a bad option. There's some concern that his fantasy production has been a bit too run-heavy and run-focused, considering he threw for just 114 yards last week. He was just able to produce with two rushing scores. That worry is valid, but it does show that he's got upside. Not only that, but LA's been the worst team in the XFL this season at stopping the run. With another week as starter under his belt and an implied team total of 21, Daniels is a reasonable choice at quarterback on this slate.

Jhurrell Pressley, RB, DC Defenders ($15) - Both Pressley and teammate Donnel Pumphrey (who's $13) are in play this week against Dallas. The game has an ugly over/under, but the Sunday slate features some really bad running back options. Dallas' running backs would be viable if Landry Jones was starting, but without Jones, the entire Renegades offense has been less effective. So, enter Pressley, who's coming off a monster game where he rushed for 107 yards. He also was more effective through the air than Pumphrey last week, which hasn't been the case throughout the season, given Pumphrey's target share is about three percentage points higher. Pressley's the safer choice and, given what he did last week, he's the upside pick as well in that DC backfield.

Kenneth Farrow, RB, Seattle Dragons ($14) - Like I said, the running back options on the Sunday slate are lacking, which is forcing me to write up Kenneth freaking Farrow as a reasonable option. The Seattle backfield is completely split between a trio of backs, but over the last two weeks, Farrow's been the leader in rush attempts. Against an LA team that's struggled against the run, he's at least an interesting option. You could easily make the case for backfield teammates Trey Williams and Ja'Quan Gardner, too. Hopefully, we get more clarity with some of the backfields (like LA's) later in the week.

Saeed Blacknall, WR, Los Angeles Wildcats ($15) - To be real with you guys, I very easily could've listed the Wildcats' wide receiver depth chart as the top pass-catching picks on the Sunday slate and called it a day. That's how miserable this slate sort of is from a receiving standpoint. I'm pointing out Blacknall here because he ran the most routes for LA last week and tied for the highest target share. At $15, if that continues, he's a steal.

Donald Parham, TE, Dallas Renegades ($18) - Since there's a ton of value on this week's Sunday slate, you shouldn't have a problem fitting Donald Parham into your lineup. He led Dallas with nine targets last week, and he now has a target share just above 20% on the season. We've seen him make freakish, big plays this year, so on a slate without a lot of firepower, it's not a bad call to hope he can break free again this week against DC.

Rashad Ross, WR, DC Defenders ($14) - The same goes for Rashad Ross. He hasn't been overly productive, but Ross leads the XFL in targets that have traveled 20-plus air yards, and he's got a near 19% target share in the DC offense. As of right now, we don't know who's going to be throwing the ball for the Defenders this week after Cardale Jones was benched in Week 5. What we do know is that as long as Ross is on the field, he'll have an opportunity or two to make a splash play. That's valuable on a slate like this.

Other Players to Consider: Flynn Nagel ($16), Eli Rogers ($15), Tre McBride ($20), Jordan Smallwood ($17)
