Manchester United vs. West Ham

Last Goalscorer: Marcus Rashford +290

Manchester United have been on fire since the restart, going 5W-2D-0L in league games since June. United have scored 19 goals in these 7 games, so they are almost certain to score and are very likely to score the last goal as well against 16th place West Ham.

Given that United will very likely score the last goal, let’s look at who their top goalscorers are. Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial both have 17 goals in 29 starts this season and they have identical odds on Fanduel at +290.

However, Rashford ranks much better in FBref’s expected goals scored at 0.63 per game compared to 0.40 per game for Anthony Martial. One key factor that could benefit Rashford even further is that he has taken 8 penalty kicks (6 converted) for United this season, so a late penalty for United could result in a late goal for Rashford.

Liverpool vs. Chelsea

Liverpool to win -105

Liverpool have slipped slightly in their last two games, with a draw to Burnley and a loss to Arsenal but they have been dominant enough throughout the season to warrant being larger favorites in this game. Even in their defeat to Arsenal, they got extremely unlucky, as they outshot the Gunners 24-3 but managed to somehow lose by a 2-1 scoreline.

Similarly, in their draw to Burnley, Liverpool outshot them 24-5 but found themselves in a 1-1 draw. So while Liverpool has dropped points in two consecutive games, they are still playing very well and we should expect their luck to change if they continue to perform at their current level.

For the season in total, Liverpool are 30 points ahead of Chelsea and are 33 goals ahead on goal difference. Liverpool won this matchup earlier in the season at Stamford Bridge, so they have already proven they can defeat Chelsea away from home and they should be able to duplicate it in a neutral environment without fans.
