DraftKings Daily Fantasy Soccer Helper for Matchweek 25

Teemu Pukki and Norwich City get a good opportunity to scrape some points in their relegation battle. Who else is worth considering on this slate?

February kicks off with a six-game slate in the Premier League on DraftKings for Matchweek 25. The slate is headlined by Liverpool, at home against Southampton and the only odds-on favorite of the teams playing on Saturday, according to Soccer odd. The other closer games have some interesting plays and good value options, so let's look at who we want to target.

Forwards to Target

Mohamed Salah ($10,900): Salah is Liverpool's top goal scorer on the season with 12 goals in the league. He's also done his part in creating goals, chipping in with six assists. He's been fairly consistent of late, scoring double-digit DraftKings points in five straight league games. The Reds are -380 favorites in this game against Southampton. Salah's anytime goal scoring odds are -150, the best for any player on the slate. He could bag a goal or two in this matchup as Southampton have conceded the third-most goals in the Premier League this season.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin ($7,200): Calvert-Lewin has been on a good run of form for Everton, with goals in consecutive league games and five in his last six games. He is now the main man up top after having to compete for playing time with the since-departed Cenk Tosun. Everton are traveling to relegation-threatened Watford, and the game has about an even line on it. DCL is +130 to score at any time in this game, and for a $7,200 price tag, it's hard to find a better value than that. He fits the bill for a value, goal-dependent forward who makes for a good play in tournaments.

Teemu Pukki ($6,900): After a hot start, Teemu Pukki had a dip in form just as Norwich City did. Now, the Finnish striker is back to his scoring ways, with goals in back to back games. His Canaries are at Newcastle on Saturday, a team he scored a hat trick against earlier in the season. While Norwich are underdogs in the game, Newcastle are a side that can be exploited. They have the worst possession rate in the league and allow the second-most shots per game, according to WhoScored.com. If you want real value for a player with good goal scoring odds, Pukki is it. He's +105 to score at any time in this game.

Midfielders to Target

Emiliano Buendía ($8,400): It's rare to like two players from the team that sits at the bottom of the Premier League table, especially playing away from home. However, it's impossible not to like Emiliano Buendía based on what he has been doing of late. He has over ten DraftKings points in eight straight games, and over 20 in four of those. He has been racking up crosses to get his points, as he is tenth in the league in that statistic. He also has been setting up his teammates for shots a ton in this stretch, with over five shot-assists in five of the eight games. Newcastle have allowed the most crosses per game in the league, giving Buendía upside to cross even more than he has been of late. On a slate without the likes of James Maddison or Kevin De Bruyne, Buendía is possibly the highest floor midfielder available to us.

Aaron Mooy ($6,900): Mooy is finding his place at Brighton after transferring from Huddersfield in the summer. The Australian was a favorite of DraftKings players over the two years he played in the Premier League, finishing tenth in crosses in 2017-18 and twentieth in 2018-19. It looks as if he has taken a role as a corner kick taker for Brighton now, taking six of eight in the last match against Bournemouth. Mooy also added a goal on four shots and had five shot assists, for a huge fantasy game. If he is able to keep up his recent form, $6,900 is a great price tag for him.

Luka Milivojević ($6,000): Milivojević returns from a three-game suspension and should be back in Crystal Palace's starting 11. He should return to his corner kick duties, as he has taken 81 corners for Palace this season. He sits 12th in crosses in the Premier League despite the three-game absence. Milivojević hit double-digit goals in each of the last two Premier League seasons but has just two so far this season. He is likely to be the penalty kick taker if that situation comes up, as he has scored 20 goals from the spot since joining Crystal Palace in 2017.

Nathaniel Chalobah ($3,600): If starting again, Chalobah is a punt option at midfield. He has taken corner kicks with Jose Holebas on the bench. His upside isn't great, but he has been able to get over six DraftKings points in four straight games. If you are trying to fit in expensive players, Chalobah provides the best floor at a value price at the midfield position.

Defenders to Target

Trent Alexander-Arnold ($8,000): DraftKings has finally priced Alexander-Arnold up to around what he should be, given how consistent he has been. He leads all players in crosses with 247, the next closest being Kevin De Bruyne's 213. TAA actually averages the most fantasy points per game on Liverpool. The $8,000 price makes him not an automatic play in your lineup, but still someone you have to strongly consider. His floor due to crossing -- amongst the highest on the slate -- and he could easily get the three-point clean sheet bonus with Liverpool -105 to not allow any goals.

Matt Ritchie ($6,000): Now defender eligible, Ritchie also received a price hike of a $1000 from the last time out. It's hard to say it wasn't warranted though, as he had nine crosses and took all of Newcastle's corner kicks in the last match. He takes on a Norwich side that allows the fourth-most crosses per game, so he should see his opportunities to play the ball towards the box in this match.

Enda Stevens ($4,300): Stevens is perennially under-priced on DraftKings given what he has shown this season. He is tied for sixth in crosses for a defender in the Premier League with 80. He has at least four crosses in his last three games, including two tough matches against Arsenal and Manchester City. Now he gets to face a Crystal Palace side that have allowed the second-most crosses per game in the league this season.

Goalkeepers to Target

Jordan Pickford ($4,700): Pickford comes in at good price for a keeper facing the team that have scored the fewest goals in the league. Watford have just 21 goals, but average 11.8 shots per game, giving the English decent upside for saves.

Pepe Reina ($4,100): The old veteran keeper is back in the Premier League and picked up his first win in the last match. He is affordable and faces Bournemouth who have scored the third-fewest goals in the league and have just one win in their last seven matches. It's hard to feel good when clicking Reina's name, but the savings and what he allows to do with the rest of your roster makes him worth consideration.
