Watford vs Bournemouth

Bournemouth +1 (no push) -145

Watford have gotten off to a beyond dreadful start to the season, as they sit in last place at 0W-4D-5L. Despite having not won a game this entire season, the Hornets are actually favorites to win this weekend, with the bookmakers giving Bournemouth reasonable odds to win/draw.

Bournemouth are currently 10 spots ahead of Watford in the standings and 10 spots ahead of Watford in WhoScored.com’s team rankings. Bournemouth have a respectable record at 3-3-3 and they have a goal difference of 16 goals higher than their cellar dwelling counterparts.

Bournemouth projects to be an average team in the EPL this season, and they are playing a team that is currently worst in the EPL by a large margin. While it is unlikely Watford remain this poor for the entire season, Bournemouth should be able to come out with at least one point on Saturday.

Burnley vs Chelsea

Chelsea to win -135

Chelsea got off to a slow start this season, but they have bounced back of late, winning four of their last five matches (the only loss coming against first place Liverpool). Chelsea have quickly moved themselves up into fourth place in the table and third place in the WhoScored.com team rankings.

Burnley trails Chelsea by four spots in both the EPL table and in the WhoScored.com team rankings. However, Burnley trails by a larger margin in shots on target per game (Chelsea ranks 2nd compared to 15th for Burnley) and shots conceded per game (2nd and 14th), indicating that Burnley may be dealing with some good fortune.

Even playing away from home, Frank Lampard’s side should have no problem winning this match.

Southampton vs Leicester

Leicester to win +135

Leicester have been miles ahead of Southampton so far this season, as they are 14 spots ahead in the standings, 15 goals ahead on goal difference and 9 points ahead of the Saints already during this young season. WhoScored.com does not see the results as a fluke, either, as that metric ranks Southampton 19th compared to 4th for Leicester City.

Unsurprisingly, Leicester is in much better form than Southampton, as Leicester is 3-0-1 in their last four matches with a goal difference of +6. On the flip side, Southampton are 0-1-3 in their last four matches with a -6 goal difference.

Leicester are playing much better than Southampton at the moment, and they are a much more talented team to boot. Leicester at +135 provides good value for your Matchweek 10 EPL betting slate.
