FanDuel Premier League Match to Target in Matchweek 35

Manchester City's Premier League championship is secure, but Swansea are still fighting relegation, making their matchup one to target on a three-game slate.

Another double-game week comes to an end this weekend in the Premier League with some teams finishing their 34th match of the season. FanDuel will have a Sunday main slate consisting of the final three games of an extended matchweek.

Matchweek 35
Sunday, April 22nd
Burnley at Stoke
West Ham at Arsenal
Swansea at Manchester City

Manchester City and Arsenal are favorites with both games having an over/under of at least 3.0 goals. It is surprising that Burnley, a team with sixth place in sight, is not a favorite with Stoke fighting relegation.

The smaller slate means this primer will only focus on one match, so let's get to it.

Manchester City vs. Swansea

Swansea may yet avoid relegation, but they have to face a team that wants to put on a show for their home fans after clinching the title while watching from home. That means that City will have motivation, and Swansea will have to fight to earn at least a point to keep some distance back to Southampton.

Swansea is winless in their last four league games and own a -19 goal differential for the campaign. They have drawn and allowed one goal or less three times in their last four matches. They also have one of the top in-form defenders in Federico Fernandez.

Fernandez is the most expensive defender in this match, but he may be worth it as City should own possession. The entire Swansea back line is worth looking at as defensive actions will be easy to come by for the Swans. Kyle Naughton and Martin Olsson are less expensive than Fernandez if you're looking to save money.

Despite likely being on the back foot, Swansea will need to press. Jordan Ayew continues to be the danger man. He has scored in three of his last four appearances and played only 11 minutes in the one match he failed to tally.

Swansea will look to capitalize on any complacency from City, but even if the champions are caught out, the team should rebound and attack. With Sergio Aguero out, Leroy Sane, Gabriel Jesus, and Raheem Sterling should lead the line. Jesus is the only forward of the bunch while Sane will provide value at $8,500. Sterling's 25.3-FanDuel-point average is second-best for City behind Kevin De Bruyne's per-game clip.

Ilkay Gundogan returned to the starting lineup on April 7th. He has totaled 29.25 and 31.0 points in his two Premier League starts. He has scored a goal in each game, with one coming from the penalty spot.

Swansea need points, and City wants to celebrate in front of their fans. It should be a lively match at the Etihad.
