2 FanDuel Premier League Trends to Exploit for Matchweek 26

Spotting trends is one way to stay ahead of the crowd in Premier League DFS. Here, we're going to try to hone in on recent occurrences across the EPL DFS landscape that appear to be a sign of things to come.

This article is geared toward FanDuel's main slate, which begins at 10 a.m. EST on Saturday and features seven matches.

After a choppy mid-week for this writer's picks, we are back to business on Saturday without even a chance to say poor, poor Riyad Mahrez.

There are no clear stacks this time around, but we do have some interesting matchups on tap.

Stanislas to Continue His Good Form Against Stoke

This should be an interesting game with two sides very much in form at the moment. Paul Lambert has a win and a draw to his name since taking over at Stoke, and Bournemouth, who early on were skirting the relegation boards, have now gone unbeaten since losing to Manchester City on December 23rd, tallying more points (12/18) than both Chelsea and Manchester United (both 11) in the process.

Taking this into account, along with his excellent form against Stoke (not to mention his goal and an assist against Manchester City on Wednesday), you should consider Junior Stanislas ($7,500). The lad has two goals and an assist in his last two games against Stoke, and he has just come off a 43.5-FanDuel-point game against City.

Eddie Howe might shake it up and bring Josh King back into the fold, but Stanislas' form should be enough to keep him in the side.

Everton's Defenders in Line for Another Busy Day

Going a goal down after 11 seconds on Wednesday, Manchester United didn't even have a chance to park the bus and defend deep. But based on Jose Mourinho's tactics away from home against top-four rivals, both Chris Smalling (30.5 FanDuel points) and Phil Jones (16 FanDuel points) did give us a glimpse of how Everton's trip to Arsenal might go on Saturday.

In their last five home games, Arsenal have recorded 97 shots, 63% of which were on target. If you compare this to how many shots Everton have taken in the same period away from home (30 shots, 40% on target), you are probably starting to get the gist of what sort of afternoon is in store for the Toffees.

With this in mind, you might like to consider one of Everton's central defenders. Sam Allardyce has rotated in his last five games, so expect any two from Michael Keane (FanDuel $5,500), Phil Jagielka ($6,000), Ashley Williams ($6,500), Mason Holgate ($5,500) and Eliaquim Mangala. Considering the pace of Arsenal's forward line, it would be surprising if both Jagielka and Williams started together due to their style of play.

Expect a win for Arsenal and another busy day for Everton's defenders.
