FanDuel Premier League Matches to Target in Matchweek 10

There are four decided favorites on the FanDuel main slate, but the Gunners' match with Swansea is the one worth targeting.

The customary six-game slate awaits FanDuel players for Matchweek 10 of the 2017-18 Premier League season. The teams on the slate are split up across the table as the first third of the season comes to a close.

Matchweek 10
Saturday, October 28th
Huddersfield at Liverpool
West Ham at Crystal Palace
Manchester City at West Brom
Swansea City at Arsenal
Stoke City at Watford
Chelsea at Bournemouth

Four of the matches have a clear favorite with at least a 3.0-goal over/under. As expected, Manchester City and Arsenal are the biggest favorites as they combined for eight goals last week. City paid off in last week's matches to target, so let's keep it going.

Arsenal vs. Swansea City

Arsenal has never beaten Swansea in back-to-back matches, and the Swans have won three times at the Emirates. Only Chelsea have won more at Arsenal's home ground. Despite Arsenal being a -475 favorite, there is no reason to write off Swansea.

It is not a surprise that Arsenal is expected to score in Arsene Wenger's 800th Premier League match in charge. They have scored at least two goals in each of their last three wins, but last week's 5-2 victory was the most impressive of them all. Mesut Ozil recorded a goal and an assist back as a regular in the Arsenal lineup. Aaron Ramsey and Alexis Sanchez also pitched in with a goal and an assist apiece.

Ozil had eight key passes last week, many of them to Sanchez and Alexandre Lacazette. This attacking trio, Arsenal's most expensive players, now face a team that has allowed 80 shots on goal on the road, which is third-most in the league. The Swansea defense could be without regular starter Martin Olsson, as well.

Arsenal is second in the league in possession, so even with a makeshift back line, there is value with the defenders for Swansea. Angel Rangel is in line for a start and costs just $4,000. Sam Clucas may move into the back line, although he would have to be used in a midfield slot at $5,500. The Swansea midfield will have plenty of defensive duties in this match up, as well.

Arsenal have allowed 12 goals, the second-highest total among the top eight teams. Swansea have scored in three of their last four matches. Tammy Abraham has been the danger man, bagging four goals thus far. He and Jordan Ayew can cause problems for the Arsenal back line.

Watford vs. Stoke City

This is not one of the high total games on the day, but this match can provide price relief with FanDuel points spread across the pitch.

Both of these teams have shown that they do not let up when they go down early in a game. Stoke is better at creating chances, but Watford often capitalizes when they create a good chance.

Watford tends to attack down the left side with Richarlison playing in an advanced role. He has been their catalyst most of the season. He is averaging 23 FanDuel points per match, warranting his $9,500 price tag.

Abdoulaye Doucoure is generally not far from Richarlison when Watford is attacking. He has four goals on four shots on target this season. Doucoure is $9,000, which is $500 more than Stoke's dynamic midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri.

Shaqiri is battling a nagging injury to his ankle, but the outlook is positive. However, he may not be the most dynamic player on the field for Stoke on Saturday. Mame Biram Diouf has been restored to a striker role and his form has soared. He has three goals and an assist in his last three outings. Diouf is just $8,000. He hopes to take advantage of Watford's home record as no team has allowed more goals in their home stadium.

Two of the top three odds have both teams scoring in this match. Watford are fourth in goals conceded while Stoke are first. Neither team has owned much possession in their games. This has the feel of another topsy-turvy affair -- with one team needing distance from the relegation zone and the other staring at a spot in European qualifying.
