Defender - Patrick van Aanholt, Crystal Palace ($5,500)

Van Aanholt is one of the more expensive value plays to this point in the season. He is coming off of two sub-par performances that has dropped his price below $6,000. He has averaged just over six FanDuel points in the past two games. That is roughly half of his season average.

The first time Palace faced Burnley this season van Aanholt had 28.5 points, his third-best total this year. He created four chances in that match to go along with his five defensive actions. He was also fouled once and had great passing numbers. Palace do own more possession on average than Burnley that equates to more shots per match, so van Aanholt should be able to get involved on the offensive end again.

Van Aanholt does average over four defensive actions per match. However, it seems that Aaron Wan-Bissaka will not be ready to go after a hamstring injury meaning van Aanholt will be tasked with getting forward. Getting forward is also what raises his ceiling.
