Callum Paterson, Forward, Cardiff

Salary: $7,000

With Chelsea struggling and no other elite side in sight, the public may turn to Bournemouth -- who are taking on Cardiff -- following their impressive four-goal victory over the Blues on Wednesday. If they do, Cardiff may go completely overlooked despite being slight home favorites. Taking a stroll down narrative street, it is certainly possible for Bournemouth to come out flat on the road with only two days of rest following their emotional home victory over Chelsea, opening the door for Cardiff to find success.

Cardiff's recent home results have been dismal, but prior to their draw to Huddersfield and losses to Manchester United and Tottenham, they rattled off three straight wins against Southampton, Wolves, and Brighton. That run tells the story of their season at home, where they have done well against non-elite sides and have been completely ineffective against top opposition. In their last six home matches against non-elite sides, they have averaged 1.5 goals per match, and three of Paterson's four goals this season have come at home.

Adding to the potential for Bournemouth to struggle this weekend is their terrible road defense. The Cherries have conceded 25 goals in 11 away matches this season, the second-most in the Premier League (behind Fulham). They have lost their last six road fixtures and allowed multiple goals to Everton, Wolves, and Newcastle during that stretch.

Paterson is a risky play, but his low salary and likely low ownership make him an intriguing option for tournaments this weekend.
