Jamie Vardy, Forward, Leicester City

Salary: $10,000

Jamie Vardy is in consideration for tournaments on any given slate due to his natural finishing ability and central role in Leicester City's attack. As a forward on a non-elite side, his ownership tends to be dictated by the other options around him, as he rarely has the best goal-scoring odds on a slate but is almost always inside the top four or five among forwards who end up starting. This weekend, with the inevitable popularity of Liverpool and Chelsea's high-priced midfielders, Vardy should go under-owned relative to the spot he is in.

Leicester City has struggled in the final third with just four goals in their last six games. Southampton has been equally as miserable on defense, allowing 14 goals in their last 6 away matches. Leicester's struggles haven't completely stymied Vardy, who has four goals in his last seven matches, two shots in each of his last five matches, and at least a shot on goal in each of his last 10 matches.

Southampton has had decent performances recently, most notably a draw against Chelsea and a victory over Arsenal, but they have been a far worse side on the road this season, where they have lost four of their last six matches and are conceding an average of 1.9 goals per match. As a home forward on the third-largest favorite on the slate, Vardy is certainly in play against the Saints this weekend.
