Bournemouth, Leicester, and Huddersfield are the only teams on the slate that failed to score last week. It had been nearly a month since any of those teams were shut out. Despite their place in the standings, Huddersfield last failed to score a goal on October 27th.

There were six shutouts last matchweek, but there were none the previous matchweek. During Matchweek 14 there were 5 shutouts, but Crystal Palace and West Ham were two of the teams that held their opponent without a goal. In other words, there is no pattern to the occurrence of shutouts.

There are 21 keepers who have recorded a clean sheet. Overall, 12 of the goalkeepers have at least 4 shutouts this season. While it is good to look at odds, the lack of a pattern means looking at the likelihood of a win, not a shutout, for your starting keeper.
