There Will Be Goals

Dating back to September 15th, there have been only two slates that have not included one team scoring at least four goals. In that time, a team has scored at least three goals 20 times. Only on November 10th did no team score at least three goals.

As for the teams likely to score the most this week, it's not a surprising list. Manchester City, who are facing Bournemouth, have scored 40 goals and have a win probability near 90%, per FanDuel Sportsbook. Bournemouth have allowed two goals in each of their last three games.

Southampton have allowed 10 goals over the last three matches, including three to Fulham last weekend. Fulham had scored 11 goals in the previous 12 matches, so Manchester United should have plenty of chances.

The sneaky match for goals is West Ham and Newcastle. Newcastle have scored three goals in the last two Premier League matches between these two, and they are on good form, which brings us the next trend.
