3 FanDuel Premier League Under-the-Radar Plays for Matchweek 7

With Manchester City likely to command heavy ownership, other players in good spots -- like Newcastle's Jonjo Shelvey -- could go overlooked.

If you have played daily fantasy sports for a while, you know the importance of being contrarian in large-field tournaments. Recognizing which players are going to be owned by the masses and finding others who you think have a similar point projection but will come at much lower ownership can really separate yourself from your opponents.

The same goes for DFS Premier League. Even though the large-field tournaments aren't quite as large as they are for other sports, there is still value in identifying quality under-the-radar plays.

This article will discuss FanDuel's main Saturday slate, which starts at 10:00 a.m. EST and features seven matches.

Matchweek 7
Saturday, September 29th
Brighton at Manchester City
Leicester City at Newcastle
Tottenham at Huddersfield
Watford at Arsenal
Fulham at Everton
Southampton at Wolves
Liverpool at Chelsea

The seventh main slate of the year features five elite sides and is highlighted by the afternoon clash between Chelsea and Liverpool. At 2.5 goals, Manchester City is the largest favorites on the slate and has an implied win odds of 92.3%. Right behind them are Arsenal and Tottenham, both of whom 1.0-goal favorites against Watford and Huddersfield, respectively.

With three elite sides in favorable spots, there is once again a large number of premium options available at each position. Due to their recent struggles, Tottenham could go under-owned relative to Arsenal, who have strung together six victories in a row across all competitions.

With that in mind, here are three players to consider -- especially for tournament formats -- this weekend.
