Lesser-Known Free Kick Takers are Worth a Look

James Maddison ($8,500) did not play the full 90 minutes for Leicester last week, but he took many of the free kick duties when he was on the field. Riyad Mahrez’s absence means the Foxes had to find someone to fill in and it is young Maddison that looks primed to step up. He already has the backing of England legend Alan Shearer. He scored less than 10 FanDuel points, but drew four fouls and created one chance. As he grows into the game and plays full matches his value will grow, especially as his teammates convert chances.

Ruben Neves ($8,500) of Wolves is another player to look at this week as he is the number one choice on direct free kicks and could play a part on corners. After one week he is fifth in the league in completed passes, which shows his importance to the Wolves side. He is unlikely to keep his 32.6 point average, but the attacking Wolves squad will rely on his engine.

James Ward-Prowse ($7,000) and Mohamed Elyounoussi ($7,000) of Southampton as well as Jean Michael Seri ($7,000) and Aleksandar Mitrovic ($8,000) of Fulham are also worth a look.
