Tough Trade...Should I
I have Ivory and being offered Gurley in .5 PPR 12 team league.I also have Latavius Murry, Yeldon and Hillman. Thoughts??
Do you foresee Ivory becoming an RB1 beast? Neither do I. I think week to week we’re looking at an average of around 12-15 points in PPR from Ivory – serviceable, but hardly stellar. Gurley, on the other hand, offers a lot more risk/reward; I think his floor is pretty high but his ceiling is sky high. He’s a true bellcow and has no threats on the roster; the only thing you got to worry about is his injury history (which is a big concern).
If you were weaker at RB, I would say don’t do it, but you got Latavius (borderline RB1), Yeldon (bellcow on a crappy team that’s getting better), and Hillman (becoming the clear number one in Denver as CJ rocks the 2.7 YPC). If you got strong receivers in the flex and only have to start two RBs a week, you’re golden.
Take the trade – you’ll be kicking yourself later if you don’t.
I'd take it. I have Ivory in two of my three leagues and was targeting him in my third before somebody else got him. The preseason hype talked all about “bellcowâ€, but the fact is Powell actually out-snapped Ivory in Weeks 1 and 2 (and Ivory was hurt in Week 3).
