Questions
With the first or second pick in the draft, who do you select for your 2nd and 3rd picks?
I am in a 12 man league looking at who I would target if I got first or second overall pick. Pick 1 will be AP for me. Pick 2 would be Jamaal Charles.

I think Lamar Miller typically makes it to 22 and 23 spots, so for me, that is my favorite pick for my second pick.

My dilemma is with the third pick. Typical WR in this spot include Evans, Alshon, and Hilton (in order of highest to lowest probability). If Hilton is gone, I dont like those other 2 options this early. Alshon with his injury and Evans has not really proven enough for me to warrant a pick this high.

So my question is do you go RB again? Forsett, Ingram, and Gore are typically here (in ESPN leagues at least). If my 3 RB were AP, Miller, and Forsett, dear god that would be insane, but your WR starters will be Tate, D. Jackson, Allen, Edelman level (assuming you use your next 2 picks for WR).

Or do you go QB? Russell Wilson is the next guy here. I would prefer RB I think.

So what does everyone think about your first 3 picks being RB?

No need for a QB that early. Try to get a top WR and depending on who is left get the better player at RB or WR. Ties go to the more non injury prone WR position. Also this is passing league now.

i would draft Miller and either Hopkins, Mathews, or Cooks. Hopkins will get anywhere from 100-145 targets by the end of the year. Cooks has brees and is the #1 WR in that offence, and Mathews is on a team that always produces a WR1 in chips offence

QB is never a good pick that early unless you can get Rodgers or Luck 3rd round or lower, it isnt justifiable because the opportunity cost of taking a QB that early is losing out on an elite RB or WR that will have a bigger difference from a mid tier guy than a mid tier QB will have compared to high end one.

Hopkins, Devante Adams, Landry, Cooper, Smith Sr., Mathews, Ahgolor, Charles Johnson, Maclin, Marshall, B. Coleman Robinson not in that order but you could go next three picks all wrs. 7th and 8th picks qb, Ryan, Rothburger, Bradford, Romo and hopefully get Bennett at TE. After that go deep on rb like Martin, Crowell, Sporles, Jennings, Freeman. But if its PPR I wouldn't go three backs right away.

a passing league exactly===and who is passing the ball? you need an elite QB for blow out numbers. just saying. the written strategy isnt always the best. esp this year! 26 out of 32 teams lose their starting QB===we are ALL screwed LOL
