Should I do these 2 trades?
10 team H2H points league

Give: Upton/Melancon/Russel Martin
Get: Puig/Lester/Mesoraco

THEN

Give: Mesoraco/Votto/Arenado
Get: McCann/Abreu/Sandoval/Cody Allen

Seems like I have to do both of these right?

    I'd keep Upton over Puig. I think Melancon will be fine, but if possible grab Watson as a precaution. And there is something really wrong with Mesoraco and how Cinci is treating him. I'd stay away, so I say NO.

    2) While I see the allure of trading Votto for someone like Abreu, I'd try to pawn him off in another way. Don't do it bro.

    Injuries notwithstanding: How big is Puig an upgrade over Upton? Can you get similar value in free agent pool for guys like Sandoval, Lester and Allen (in a 10 team league it's feasible). Is McCann a big upgrade over Martin? IMO, none of the above tip the scales either way. The bottom line is this: Is Abreu worth Votto and Arenado? This depends on your depth at their positions and how you personally value the involved players. If you do NOT think Abreu was a bit overrated heading into 2015 as I do, then maybe you do this deal. I think this favors the Votto/Arenado recipient though, IMO.
