I need to pick a Defense for week 10. HELP

This is what is available as of this week. I just want to be ahead of the game. Who would you pick up ?

Miami
Cincinnati
New England
Tennessee
San Diego
Jacksonville
St. Louis
Kansas City
Washington
Atlanta
New York Giants
New York Jets
Oakland Raiders

Please explain why you would grab the particular defense. Thank You.

Look at the projections for DEF on any site (except ESPN and NFL - they are horrible) in any given week. The top ten will be within about 3pts of each other. Unless you are undefeated I wouldn't waste a roster spot on a DEF you won't use for two weeks. Use that roster spot to pick up a second string RB. I don't know who you have at DEF right now but I would think about dropping them and picking up Miami to play this week against JAX.

Defenses are situational, yes. Most defenses stream within a few points of one another. The idea is to 1) pick-up a defense that's going against a bad team and has the fewest injuries and/or b) pick-up a defense that's going to be there for you the rest of the season. Case in point: Miami, Buffalo and Detroit are the top 3 defenses you should have right now. KC is a good bet this week to have the best performance, but once they start playing their AFC rivals, that will no longer be the case. I have MIA, and I know they'll be good for 7-10 pts in my ESPN league this week, and that's good enough for me.

The Chiefs have Buffalo that week (plus good matchups with StL this week, the Jets week 9, and Oakland week 12). I'd go that route.

Miami against Jacksonville no doubt. It is Jacksonville against a solid defense. Is anymore needed?

Miami - they're playing Jacksonville, who has given up the most points to DSTs all year.
