Questions
Keller and Dickson or Eifert and Fleener?
I am in a 12 team standard scoring league with a 16 round draft. I have been mock drafting two TE's with the last two rounds before I take def and kicker. I have come to the problem described in the title. I could play match ups with Keller and Dickson who will probably have solid but uninspiring seasons. Or pick the younger players and hope one breaks out into a top 12 season. What would you do?

I don't think you need to necessarily draft two tight ends if you're planning on streaming. I'm a fan of taking a high-upside guy, knowing there will be TEs available to stream throughout the season. Remember 1) Tight ends are the first to go to the wire from people's benches and 2) It's the most volatile position out there, meaning our pre-season predictions won't be as accurate. Guys will step up out of nowhere. Just my two cents.

Thanks for the comment answer. In the past people in this league have drafted two TE's (21 went last year). So my stratagy was to wait and take one or two at the end and just wait for people to drop several of those.

i might jump up a round or two earlier and try and snatch up guys who might be available in the 10th or 11th like brandon myers, jared cook, brandon pettigrew. pairing one of those guys with a fleener or eifert or keller might work out better for you.

Bennett, Finley or Cameron as well all should have solid years

agreed. although i'm as sour on finley as many in my league are. we've all taken turns with a mid round pick and relying on that guy only to have him disappoint.

Thanks for your comment. Yeah, I obviously like Myers, Cook, and Pettigrew but I usually end up getting Eli Manning in the 10th (I really like him this year) and a WR I like at the 11th (Like Emmanual Sanders). And to be honest I really question how much difference there is between Meyers, Cook, Pettigrew and Finley and the later round options like Dickson or Keller. Last year Scott Chandler outscored all of those guys. Sure they have more upside, but even a 10th round pick is too high for me considering I can still get solid receivers/quarterback, and even a decent backup running back at that point

None. Unless your in a keeper or dynasty league, Eifert and Fleener have potential. I don't like either that much because they'll be splitting time a lot with their respective TE competition Dwayne Allen and Jermaine Gresham. Dickson has never really impressed and if he was any good he'd be starting over Pitta in the first place. Keller is too much of an unknown in that new offense and it remains to be seen if he will have a connection with Tannehill. I would not put any of them in my top 15. Much better options all around.

Thanks for the comment. The reason I am going so deep is because in this league pretty much everyone drafts two TE's, so in the late rounds things get slim, but there are tons of waiver wire options down the road. I guess I don't assume that I will be starting any of those players for 16 games. I am just looking for some early season options that I can get late so I can load up on other positions earlier in the draft
