Keeper league trade
I have been offered Stafford and Marshawn Lynch for my RGIII and Jamaal Charles. Only problem is RGIII was a clearcut keeper for me for next year. Is that worth losing to bring in a needed RB for my team which is leading my league?

Sounds like a good trade to me. While RG3 has great upside and potential, especially in a keeper league, you can't ignore what you need at present for next year's potential.

Straight up, this is actually a really fair deal for both sides. Stafford/Lynch gives you a more predictable stability, whereas RGIII/Charles is risky (injury-wise) but has limitless upside. Given that however, I agree that this trade has more to do with your league's scoring and weekly rosters. On paper though, this is a fair trade.

No way bro. I have Charles and take it from me, he is not even close to Marshawn value. And as for RGIII as a keeper, unless you play in a 2 QB league, he hasn't passed for over 300 yards in fives weeks and only twice all year. He has passed for under 200 three of the last five weeks. Needless to say, the offensive schemes that he was leveraging early on are getting figured out (a la Cam Newton 2011). Without knowing the scoring of your league, it may be tough to comment further, but I would heavily advise against RGIII as a keeper for many reasons unless you have multiple keepers, in a 2 QB league that gives 4 points of TDs and so on.

Yea, should have read that more carefully. In that case, like I mentioned earlier, barring some league details making this a sweet deal to keep RGIII, I would deal him and Charles. That KC team is toxic and for the one or two great games Charles may have left in him, I'd rather take the steady Lynch all day. Though I must admit I'm not high on Stafford. He'll probably come close to 4500+ yards, but the TD's will be way down from last year which hurts his overall value.
