Who to start...Asik, G. Davis or Faried???
Better option tonight?
Manimal (Kenneth Faried) is a high motor guy, which means he will always give you decent stats, if not spectacular. He is already growing into a nice double double machine, but his scoring is unspectacular. If your team is doing OK for scoring and needs a boost in other departments he is a guy that will give you decent stats all around, without really hurting you anywhere.
That being said, Big Baby Davis will probably come out as one of the players with the most upside this season in the whole league, as he is forced to make good of a bad situation. He is Orlando's only really consistent player within the front court as of now, and he has a polished offensive game. He's not going to give you a huge boost in rebounding stats as he has never been all that dominant on the glass, but expect big minutes out of him as he moves between small ball center and power forward all season. With the big minutes comes the opportunity for big stats... Which is all the more likely considering he is like the number two (or three) offensive option on the starting unit now.
Personally, I would go for Davis seeing as he is such a factor on a bad team right now (they will likely turn to him on a lot of possessions in a "dump it in the middle and see what he can do" way). That being said, it depends where you are lacking right now. Manimal is a good all around choice, and is expected to break out this year as a double double machine. Asik lacks polish on the offensive side of the game, but will probably become a limited two way player deeper into the season (he will certainly get the minutes to do so), so only go with him if you need the boards (which he WILL give) and can live with the PPG and shooting percentages.
None of the above are horrible choices
