I personally would just rather have Hernandez.. Who else you have at Te right now? I might wait until latter in the week to decide and see what Hernandez does in practice. If he does.

It all depends on whether you want to hang onto him based on what you think he MIGHT do after the bye week, or go with a guy who's been consistant all year and is just as much a target for his team as the other guy. I personally would make the trade because Hernandez is banged up and, bye week or not, you don't know how long those injuries are going to linger and whether or not they're going to affect him when he gets back on the field. Daniels, however, has been putting up good numbers all year. He's had at least 5 targets and 3 catches in every game this year. He's the number two behind Johnson, but, with the year Johnson's been having, it's hard for me to believe he's only number two based on Johnson's known potential. Hernandez has the bigger name and history of huge games, but, this season I think you have to go with Daniels.

Hernandez is going to start putting up consistently solid games after New England's bye week this coming week. Not only will the extra week give him more time to rest the ankle, but the Patriots should be piling on the points with the opponents they are facing the next few upcoming weeks. Brady looks for Hernandez (when he's healthy) more often because of the matchup nightmare he presents. Stick with Hernandez, even if Daniels is having a really good year and for the bye week, pick up a TE off the wire that can at least hopefully give you a decent game for a week.
