Questions
Trade Aaron Rodgers?
I have Rodgers and Luck at QB in a keeper league. I need to upgrade RB desperately (MJD and no one else). Thinking of offering Rodgers to get a front line RB and relying on Luck as my starter. Good idea or bad?

Luck is going to put up numbers, and Rodgers is having a bit of a down year so far. However, Luck is going to be up and down all season just by virtue that he's a rookie. I would be tempted to put out some feelers, but if your not getting a true RB1 and possibly a decent RB2/Flex, I wouldn't pull the trigger on a trade.

I was thinking of offering Rodgers for McCoy and Julio Jones

In that case, I would pull the trigger. The lost production from Rodgers to Luck is more than made up for by McCoy over, well apparently nobody, and Julio is a very good WR3 (He needs to be more consistent before I'll consider him a WR2). And as Anton said, I'd rather have a good QB who'll have great days and another true RB1 then a great QB that has to carry your team on his own.

I have the same problem but with Eli as my backup. My RB tandem is FJax, Morris, Martin, Bolden (added week 3). Do you have RB2 around Jackson or Martin's level at least? If not put out feelers. Right now maybe because of last Sunday, I'm leaning towards Luck

I for one just traded for Rodgers. Now, I know you have Luck and all, but the fact of the matter is, Luck will not be Rodgers, or come close to his level by seasons end. Rodgers is top 2, Luck will be in the 8-12 range. I would actually look to deal Luck, to the team that looks a few years away yet, and grab the best RB on their team. The low end teams are always the ones more willing to deal a lot to get that consistent QB for the future. Keep Rodgers trade Luck.

Good points. Perhaps I'm thinking too far ahead.

I think so, Rodgers will be elite top 5 option for at least another 6-7 seasons, he is only 28 I believe, most QB play on an elite level until 35-36

i dont know many people that would trade their RB1 for Andrew Luck. You'd have to have a plethora of rbs and be stuck with like, Matt Cassell and R Fitz, as starters in order to pull off that trade. I'd say that you should trade Rodgers for a top flight RB...no less than a Ray Rice or MJD or McCoy or Foster. Its better to have a good-to-great QB and a great RB than just a great QB and nothing else.

Not like its a one for one deal, most fantasy deals arnt, but you trade Luck for the other teams RB1, and include pieces that make sense for both teams. Most wont even trade their RB1 for Rodgers one for one.
