PPR Trade- Giving up Mathews/Turner & Getting Rice
PPR 10 Team league. Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 2 Flex

New team would look like:
QB: Romo/Flacco, RB: Peterson/Rice/M. Bush, WR: Wayne/Marshall/Harvin/S. Johnson/Moore/Amendola, TE: Bennett/Pitta

I think you should make the trade. By trading for Rice, you are basically trading for more reliability and consistency. There will be uncertainty surrounding Turner all season and Matthews will not always have games this season like he did last night. Keep in mind New Orleans def. isn't quite the best, so Matthews numbers may be a bit inflated. However, I am a very big fan at having depth at running back, especially with the bye weeks upon us and you will be trading a lot of your depth away. Even with that said, make the trade. Good luck, sir.

I agree. You are trading for what should be the same production in 2 guys, that you will get in theory from 1 guy, Rice. So that is a double advantage of freeing up another slot to plug in a flex for more points. But your RB depth will be shot that is for sure. You will be running 3-4 WR every week, which is not a bad thing with your lineup there. Make the trade. Although Mathews looked DAMN good last night!

Completed, and as mentioned below, switched Turner for Stevie J. Glad to keep a little depth.

I think I would maybe hold onto Turner to keep some depth at the Rb spot.. See if you can offer up Mathews/Stevie for Rice.. I would feel better about that trade.. and are you going to hold onto Amendola? he is out for a long time?

That was actually the trade I countered with and it was accepted. I feel better about that one as well. I am holding onto Amendola for now being that it is a PPR league and I have the roster spot available to do so. We'll see how it goes from there.

in a vacuum - this screams do it. but the chedules might say otherwise...the falcons have the easiest rest of season sched for all 3 major offensive positions, and the chargers are 4th easiest for rb's - meanwhile the ravens are 27th in easiest rb sched. that said - the points made by jeff are valid - dependability, talent, opportunity all say rice here. but IF mathews gets it together and turner stays in one piece they could outproduce rice. 2 other things to consider - baltimore's new offense has taken a lot of emphasis off the run...if the falcons have an easy wr/qb sched too will they be out in front so much that turner will get a ton of touches or will rodgers then become relavent? - and now that the waters are sufficiently muddied - good luck dustin
