He will play between Alex Ovechkin and T.J. Oshie, which drops Evgeny Kuznetsov to the second line with Marcus Johansson and Andre Burakovsky. Backstrom and Ovechkin have played on the power play together, but they haven't seen even-strength time as a duo this season.

Ovechkin has been right around the point-per-game mark each of the past two seasons, and he's right there again this year. He's tallied 16 points -- eight goals and eight assists -- in 15 games. The same goes for Backstrom, who averaged 78.5 points over the last two campaigns. He has 12 points in 13 contests this season.
