Vancouver's Dan Hamhuis (lower body) will miss at least two games
Vancouver Canucks defenseman Dan Hamhuis (lower body) isn't traveling with the team and is expected to miss at least the next two games.
What It Means:
That means that Hamhuis won't play against the Dallas Stars on Thursday or Arizona Coyotes on Friday. Vancouver has called up Alex Biega to help deal with Hamhuis' absence. Hamhuis is still being evaluated so it's not clear how long he'll be sidelined for.
Not much of an offensive weapon from the back line, Hamhuis has 10 shots and 2 assists in 8 contests. In 59 games a year ago, he netted one goal to go with 22 assists. We project him to have 2 goals and 22 helpers the rest of the way, assuming he doesn't miss significant time.
