Tomas Plekanec scores twice as Canadiens edge Senators

Montreal Canadiens center Tomas Plekanec scored a pair of goals in Montreal's 3-1 win over the Ottawa Senators.

What It Means:

Plekanec scored both his goals in the first period. His first goal was scored from below the goal line, as he banked a puck in the net off Senators' goalie Matt O'Connor. Plekanec scored his second of the game on a breakaway just nine minutes later.

The 32-year-old now has three goals in his last two contests. He could have a big year playing on a line with Max Pacioretty and Brendan Gallagher. We see him doing just that, projecting Plekanec for 26 goals and 34 assists the rest of the way.
