Alexander Burmistrov posts plus-four rating as Jets cruise

Winnipeg Jets winger Alexander Burmistrov picked up a goal and an assist in Thursday's 6-2 win against the Boston Bruins.

What It Means:

He scored into an empty net and finished with a game-high plus-four rating. Burmistrov was also given a two-minute penalty for an illegal check to the head of Bruins' center Patrice Bergeron. Bergeron was upset with the collision, but he was able to stay in the game. A source indicated to CSNNE.com that no supplemental discipline was expected on the play.

The 23-year old Burmistrov spent the last two seasons playing in the KHL. Back in 2012, his last season in the NHL, he registered 4 goals and 6 assists in 44 games as a 20-year-old.
