Vancouver Canucks winger Daniel Sedin picked up a goal and added two assists in Vancouver's season opening 5-1 destruction of the Calgary Flames on Tuesday.
What It Means:
The line of Daniel Sedin, Henrik Sedin and Brandon Sutter was put together really late in the preseason, but they combined for six points in the opener. Henrik Sedin and Sutter each had a goal and an assist.
When he's been healthy enough to play a full season Daniel Sedin has produced elite numbers, including 20 goals and 56 assists in 82 games a year ago. We project him for 22 goals and 51 helpers this season.
