Detroit Red Wings defenseman Danny DeKeyser has been diagnosed with a sprained ligament in his left foot.
What It Means:
DeKeyser is expected to be out for three-to-four weeks as a result. That translates to a projected seven to 10 games lost. He sustained the injury during Wednesday's preseason game.
He had two goals and 31 points in 80 contests last season, finishing the year with a plus-minus of +11.
