Frederik Andersen starting Toronto's season-opener in Winnipeg
Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Frederik Andersen will start the Leafs' season-opener on the road against the Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday.
Andersen started 66 games in his first season with the Leafs last year, finishing with a 33-16-14 record, a 2.67 goals against average and a .918 save percentage. He will serve as the team's primary starter this year while Curtis McElhinney, who started 10 games after being acquired from the Columbus Blue Jackets last season, is also expected to notch some starts.
numberFire's models project Andersen for 28.9 saves, 2.4 goals against and a 55.0% chance of scoring a win on Wednesday. His 19.5 projected fantasy points are the day's third-most, and he is priced at $8,200 on FanDuel.
