The Detroit Red Wings are starting Jimmy Howard in goal versus the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday.
Howard will be making his first start since December 20th due to a knee injury. He made two starts in the AHL to get back into game shape, winning both with one 21-save shutout. Howard owned a 1.96 goals against average with a .934 save percentage in 17 appearances before the injury.
Our models project Howard to be the best value goalie option of the night with 18.5 fantasy points at only a $7,600 price tag.
