Trevor Daley (knee) on Penguins' shelf for six weeks
Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Trevor Daley has undergone knee surgery and will miss six weeks as a result.
Daley suffered the injury during Tuesday's 3-1 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes. His absence is a significant loss for a defense already missing Justin Schultz and Olli Maatta, but the Penguins have already responded by acquiring Ron Hainsey in a trade with the Hurricanes.
Daley has five goals and 19 points in 54 games this season while recording a 46.7 Corsi For Percentage and -5.1 Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength -- both of which are below his career-averages.
