Colorado Avalanche goalie Calvin Pickard will start against the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday night.
Pickard was tagged for five goals on 33 shots in a loss to the New York Islanders on Sunday, bringing his record to 9-17-1 on the year, to go with a 3.02 goals-against average and .904 save percentage. Tonight's opponent shouldn't be too daunting, as the Sabres have the sixth-worst offense in the NHL (2.46 goals per game).
numberFire's models project Pickard for 28.5 saves, 2.7 goals against and only a 34.0 percent chance of picking up a win. That makes him our 12th fantasy goalie out of the 16 starters in action on Thursday.
