Thomas Greiss manning the crease Tuesday for Islanders
New York Islanders goalie Thomas Greiss will start against the Washington Capitals on Tuesday.
Greiss has been stupendous this month, and the Islanders took note by giving him a three-year, $10 million contract extension. The 31-year-old netminder has gone 6-2-3 with a .936 save percentage and just 22 goals against while posting two shutouts since he took over for Jaroslav Halak on New Year's Eve. Tuesday will present a tough test versus the first-place Capitals.
Greiss is numberFire's third-ranked fantasy option on Tuesday's crowded 14-game slate. Our models project him for 28.7 saves, 2.3 goals against and a 52.0 percent chance of scoring a win.
