Maple Leafs pluck Curtis McElhinney off waivers
The Toronto Maple Leafs claimed goalie Curtis McElhinney off waivers from the Columbus Blue Jackets.
McElhinney should serve as the primary backup to Frederik Andersen in Toronto. He went 2-1-2 with a .924 save percentage and 2.39 goals-against average this season in Columbus prior to being replaced by 24-year-old netminder Anton Forsberg.
The Maple Leafs are currently tied for 16th in numberFire's NHL Team Power Rankings.
