The Colorado Avalanche are starting goalie Calvin Pickard versus the Calgary Flames on Tuesday.
Pickard is coming off by far his best performance of the season as he stopped 38-of-39 shots in a 2-1 overtime win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday. He gets a favorable matchup on Tuesday too as Calgary comes to town having scored only 2.05 goals per game on the road, the second-worst mark in all of hockey.
Our models have Pickard as the sixth-worst goalie option of the night with projections of 2.6 goals allowed, 26.7 saves, and a 38.0 percent chance of winning.
