Semyon Varlamov to make his first start in a week for Colorado
Colorado Avalanche goalie Semyon Varlamov will start Tuesday versus the Minnesota Wild.
Varlamov missed the last three games due to a groin injury but appears to be good to go on Tuesday. He last played December 11 in a 3-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs where the netminder stopped 51 shots. In 18 starts this season, Varlamov is 6-12-0 with a .904 save percentage and 3.21 goals-allowed average.
Our models project Varlamov to score only 13.8 fantasy points as he stops 26.9-of-29.8 shots faced with a 31.0 percent chance of winning, making him the fourth-worst goalie option on a busy Tuesday night in the NHL.
