Antti Raanta defending net for Rangers against Pittsburgh
New York Rangers goalie Antti Raanta will start Tuesday night's contest against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Henrik Lundqvist has started the last three games for the Rangers, but Raanta steps in on Tuesday for his third draw of the year with Pittsburgh. He's gone 1-0-0 in the previous two, recording a .923 save percentage while allowing 2.76 goals per game. That's an impressive feat considering the Penguins are tied for the league-lead in scoring with 3.34 goals per game.
numberFire's models project Raanta for 25.9 saves, 2.6 goals against and a 38.0 percent chance of scoring another win versus Pittsburgh. With 24 starting goalies on Tuesday's slate, there's better options to choose from.
