Andrei Markov

Andrei Markov (lower-body) day-to-day for Canadiens

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Andrei Markov (lower body) is being considered day-to-day, according to head coach Michel Therrien.

What It Means:

Markov suffered the injury on Saturday, but it fortunately doesn't sound too severe. The 37-year-old is averaging 21:49 minutes of ice time per contest, his lowest total over the previous nine healthy campaigns (Markov was limited to 20 games during the 2010-12 seasons).

Markov has 21 points (19 assists) in 31 games this season. His 54.3 Corsi For Percentage is a career-best, while his 3.9 Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength is well above his career-average (0.7).
