Jean-Francois Berube to make first start of the season for Islanders
The New York Islanders are giving goalie Jean-Francois Berube his first start of the season versus the Buffalo Sabres on Friday.
Berube has been the Islanders third goalie all year, making it into only one game playing six minutes and stopping the only shot he saw. He holds a career save percentage of .915 in eight career games. The 25-year-old will have a tough test on Friday as the Sabres have scored 3.29 goals per game in their last seven contests.
Our models have Berube as the third-best goalie option on Friday, with a projected 51.0 percent chance of a win, while stopping 27.3-of-29.5 shots faced.
