Colorado Avalanche goalie Calvin Pickard has been named Thursday night's starter against the Boston Bruins.
Through four road starts this season, Pickard is a spotless 3-0-0 with an impressive .932 save percentage (SV%) and 2.10 goals-against average (GAA). He's dropped his last two, however, bringing his overall record to 4-2-1 with a .920 SV% and 2.44 GAA. Semyon Varlamov has been between the pipes for Colorado's previous three contests.
numberFire's models rank Pickard as the third-best goalie for FanDuel Thursday night, projecting him to allow 2.6 goals on 32.8 attempts with a 48.0 percent chance of winning.
