Montreal Canadiens center Alex Galchenyuk will be sidelined for six-to-eight weeks with a knee injury.
The 22-year-old is in the midst of a breakout campaign, so it's a disappointing loss for a Canadiens team that is currently first in the Eastern Conference.
Galchenyuk leads Montreal with nine goals and 23 points in 25 games this season. He owns a 52.2 Corsi For Percentage and 3.2 Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength.
