Buffalo Sabres winger Evander Kane (cracked ribs) will rejoin the team on Wednesday for their matchup with the Ottawa Senators.
Kane wound up needing less than a month to heal from multiple cracked ribs after injuring himself in the first game of the season. The Sabres suffered a 4-0 beatdown at the hands of the Boston Bruins on Monday, so they will welcome back the 25-year-old winger with open arms.
Kane finished last season with 20 goals and 35 points across 65 games. His 51.8 Corsi For Percentage was right in line with his career-average (51.2 percent), while his 6.7 Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength represented a new career-best.
